Edward Jacobson was born June 17, 1891 in New York City. In 1893 he moved with his family to Leavenworth, Kansas, and then to Kansas City, Missouri, in about 1905. From 1917 to 1919 he served as an enlisted man in the 129th Field Artillery, 35th Division of the U.S. Army. From 1919 to 1922 he was a partner with Harry S.
